IRV GOTTI SITS DOWN WITH VLAD TV FOR A CANDID INTERVIEW.
In this VladTV exclusive, Irv Gotti speaks on the success of his hit show “Tales” on BET and his plans for season 2, noting that he’s recruited Kanye West for the season 2 premiere that debuts next month. Furthermore, he adds that he co-produced a new Kanye song for the season premiere, which in his opinion takes Yeezy back to his roots from the College Dropout / Late Registration era.
In this clip, Irv Gotti speaks on using the Geto Boys “Mind Playing Tricks on Me” for an upcoming episode in the second season of Tales, noting that it’s a horror episode that also will feature Scarface. From there, Gotti mentions how his goal for Tales is to blend together different generations of hip-hop, while further adding that his sons introduced him to the late XXXTentacion.
In this clip, Irv Gotti spoke about always getting record samples cleared despite the poor luck other artists and producers have. He spoke specifically about getting “Deep Cover” cleared for his BET series ‘Tales’ and the status of his friendship with Dr. Dre. Irv went on to discuss how he was tainted after the federal trial despite being found not guilty and how JAY-Z was instrumental in him landing his show on BET.
In this clip, Irv Gotti spoke about Murder Inc. becoming an international label which was due in large part to the success of Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule’s hit “I’m Real.” Irv explained how the feds stopped him making an enormous amount of money during Murder Inc.’s height with the money laundering case. He went on to explain to Vlad how his success was independent of any help from Supreme McGriff.
Irv Gotti spoke about Murder Inc. offices being raided next to billion-dollar companies. He said the feds offered them six months for a conviction which would result with them entering a guilty plea. Gotti said he and his brother did not take, even though their lawyers were hinting at them taking it. Irv also noted that he spent $10 million in legal fees, and ended up beating the case when it went to trial.
